Our Family Reflections 2011
We had such an amazing year in 2011! We have grown so much as a family and all had so much fun! Jan brought the kids & I settling into the apt and Jay busy in SF working. The next couple months was lots of work, school, daycare. March finally brought Jay home from SF to snuggle into the apt in Boise with us. April was full swing to get Lilly here, I was very ready to have her here and VERY ready to be done with beauty school. We all had a bit of a scare when my jetta was totalled but Lilly was just fine & I was pampered by Jay. May 12th Miss Lillian Jaide Wimple finally arrived 6 lbs 12 oz. She has been a daddy's girl since the moment she got here, she makes our family complete. Lilly is now almost 8 months old, she is crawling every where & pulling herself up on things, she is so bubbly happy all the time, she makes us all laugh & loves to be rocked to sleep.
The summer was packed with fun and spending time with family. Jay was on the road a lot for work & I retreated to the mountains of McCall to spend time with my family. The kids had so much fun playing with all their aunties, cousins & friends! They are definitely spoiled in love! In July Addi turned 4, we spent the day at the zoo and we celebrated princess & toy story style! Addi is a very charismatic little girl, not afraid to speak her mind, outgoing, friendly & very girly! She is such a light in our home, loves to be a big sister and to be every one's best friend. August we got the chance to fly back home to introduce Lilly to Jay's family and for me to finally meet all the people he loves & talks about so much! It was wonderful, he was SO happy, the Wimple's were so welcoming & loving, and of course Lilly was a star! We can't wait to see everyone again!!! September I celebrated my 26th birthday, I went out with all my besties & Jay made sure I didn't have to lift a finger all weekend! September also brought our one year anniversary, I thank God everyday for blessing me with my wonderful sweetheart! October was the packing month & cramming lots of Deppe family time in before moving.
November we relocated our family to Happy Valley, OR which is truly a very happy place for our family. It was an emotional move for me, the first time moving away from family, as much as I miss everyone though I really love it here. It has brought our family so much closer together. In December Hudson turned 3, he is my strong silent boy, he is obsessed with vacuuming, cars & taking things apart, he loves to play with his sisters, he is very sweet & sensitive and has a contagious laugh. Nana & Connor came to visit, we had so much fun! Nana brought the Christmas spirit, NanaMonster, home cooking and love! Connor brought lots of silly laughs, running around and friendship.
Thank you friends & family for all the joyous adventures, love and support. We say goodbye to 2011 with lots of great memories & laughs. We are so excited to see what 2012 has in store for us! We wish you a very happy new year.
Love,
The Wimples

The Happiness I was Searching Out
The two years since then have brought new challenges, lessons, joys, grief and blessings. I have learned a new compassion for people from all walks of life. I have learned to never say never. I have developed a truer, deeper, strong relationship with my grandmother, mother and sister. I have learned to say goodbye to damaging relationships, to let go of the hurt, and to not let it taint the possibility of a new beautiful relationship. I have come to truly admire the strength of a man, the quiet, hard working, behind the scenes, take care of your family, treat the women in your life right, true strength of a man. I have a new sense of what a grand blessing it is to have truly good parents. I have learned that life will without question every time take you on a path you never saw in your mind and you will end up in a more beautiful place than you could have ever imagined. And most importantly I have learned that I am worthy of true love, the kind they write books of, that make all the silly love songs come true, the kind that gives you your own happily ever after.
This Christmas I happily sit in our beautiful home, with my three love bugs sleeping soundly and the man I love close by. I have more joy than I know what to do with. I got to talk to my daddy today and he said to me "Sara, it's been a long, long time since you've been this happy", it was a light bulb moment that it has been years since I genuinely felt this happy. All those long, seeming never ending, heart breaking trials have led me to this grand happiness. I feel like Charlotte in SATC2, "I have everything I ever wanted". I still have much to give, much to learn, and more refining of my soul to go, but this Christmas I get to truly bask in the glow of true joy. And as much as I deeply, every day, really miss Idaho and all that it holds for me I am so happy and enjoying every step of this new journey.
A big hug to all my friends and family for all the cheerleading from the sidelines. Your love, support, encouragment will always stay dear to my heart and never be forgotten. And an even bigger hug to Idaho, you'll always be where my heart calls home!
